Obsidia
Private AI for Australian professional services firms, built for the AML/CTF Tranche 2 reforms.
What it is
Obsidia is a private AI platform for Australian law firms, accountants and real estate agents - the firms newly covered by the AML/CTF Tranche 2 reforms.
It searches a firm's own documents first and shows where each answer came from, so people can check it. No data is used to train external models.
What's in it
- 18 workflow packs for Tranche 2 obligations, including customer due diligence, suspicious matter reporting, staff training, record-keeping and ongoing risk assessment
- Prompt packs, and a prompt engine that turns rough questions into better queries
- Custom personas and chat widgets
- Connections to SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Confluence and Atlassian, plus PDF, DOCX, PPTX and TXT uploads
Security
Obsidia is hosted in Sydney and built around the Australian Privacy Act. Every query has an audit trail, data retention can be set from two to seven years, and AI retention is contractually limited to 30 days. A typical rollout takes about a week, with sign-in through Azure AD.
My part
I worked on the development from February to July 2026. Eddie Lewis led the build and it launched in October 2026.
